35$ GENERAL INFORMATION We present you our first drums for Kontakt. LDW 1973 is a vintage Ludwig kit combined with Zildijan cymbals. Kit is recorded with 4 microphones using famous Glyn Johns technique. Each kit element has a specific blend of all four mics exported in a single sample, to get the best possible element sound. This means that you cannot control each mic per element separately in processing. This approach has limitations but gives you extremely fast workflow, because you have a mixer with a fader per element. In short, this approach gives you most optimal and efficient workflow with quick results. All elements are sampled in 7 round robins. Dynamic layers vary, depending on element. For example, snare has 7 dynamic layers, kick has 6 and toms have 5. We tried to reach the perfect balance between instrument size, natural sound and effective workflow. KIT ELEMENTS KICK SNARE TOM 1 TOM 2 FLOOR TOM HIHAT CRASH SPLASH RIDE COWBELL Except these 4 mics blended into a single sample, each sample has been sent to external hardware reverb unit (Bricasti M7). You can add this layer of sound within our interface, We call this "ROOM" in our interface, and it has dedicated control knob. Room can be blended with original signal for each kit element separately, OR globally, for entire kit. Adding room brings drum sound to life, adding an extra dimension of realism.
