Besides creating Kontakt instruments and sound libraries, I am a composer, producer and sound designer constantly experimenting with music and sound. I am particularly interested in synthesizers, guitar recording, unusual textures and the integration of ethnic instruments into modern productions. My work often combines organic performances with electronic and cinematic sound design to create distinctive atmospheres.

PROJECT "ELEVEN"

Song : "Eleventh Name Of Ganesha" — Recording Process

Eleventh Name Of Ganesha is a hybrid fusion of heavy metal, world music and atmospheric ambient music, heavily inspired by Indian mythology.

The main guitar used on the track was a Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul. One of the main recording tools was the Orange TH30, a relatively affordable amplifier head that consistently delivers great results. I particularly like how easy it is to tweak and how consistently it maintains its character across different volume and gain settings. Once the EQ is dialed in, I can often leave it untouched for almost the entire song and simply adjust the volume or gain when needed.

The drums were built from several different drum kits, blended together to create the final sound. One of the kits used was our LDW 1973 library, from which I used the snare and hi-hat, blending them with elements from two other drum kits.

The live dulcimer was recorded with Schoeps microphones, adding an organic ethnic element that contrasts with the heavier guitars, drums and electronic textures.

The vocal parts were sung by my kids, adding a personal and organic element to the track and further connecting the music to its thematic inspiration.
