Vintage Sound, Captured Right
LDW-1973 is a carefully recorded vintage Ludwig drum kit,paired with classic Zildjian cymbals for a timeless tonal balance.
Captured using the legendary Glyn Johns technique, this kit delivers a natural, cohesive drum sound — focused, punchy, and full of character.
Each element is a blend of four microphones,balanced into a single, optimized signal.This approach sacrifices deep mic-level control,but gives you something far more valuable:
Speed, clarity, and instantly usable results.
Every hit feels consistent and musical, thanks to multiple round robins and detailed dynamic layers across all kit elements — from kick and snare to cymbals and percussion.
To add depth and space, each sample is processed through high-end external hardware reverb (Bricasti M7), capturing a rich, realistic room character.
The result is a drum instrument that feels alive, responsive, and ready to sit in your mix without effort.
